Turkey Trip: Part Five
Day 6, Traveling to Konya
Approximately 4.5 hours bus ride to Konya! Hence, we got to have toilet/snack break in between...
Taking our signature jump shots!
Couldn't even see my face!! -.-
My really Cool dad~
Lunch at Horozluhan
An ancient caravanserai restored restaurant. (Caravanserai: Was a roadside inn where travelers could rest and recover from the day's journey)
Thumbs up for the exotic setting and ambience.
Appetizer: I think it was either a Pumpkin soup, or a tomato soup...
Turkish coffee. You can choose the sugar level for it! Yes...Just like Bubble Tea. Haha!
Turkish mixed meat Pizza/Pide.
This is Chicken Kavurma or saç kavurma.
Time to take some pictures before leaving~
Nineteenth Destination, Mausoleum of Mevlana.
A Mausoleum of a great philosopher, poet and the father of the Mevlevi Order, better known as the Whirling Dervishes.
Entering the Main Gate.
Our newly transformed shoes. Had to wear these blue plastics over our dirty shoes so that they wouldn't dirty the marble-paved floors.
The Sadirvan (Washing fountain). Provides water for drinking or ritual ablutions to several people at the same time.
Photography wasn't allowed in the museum. Too bad guys!
Tombs at the courtyard I guess?
Look at the Clear Bright sky!
Cherry red/pink flowers.
H-E-L-L-O~ Did I scare you with my huge ass face? :)
Bro bullying small little mum.
Let's just HUG.
Dad busy video recording us while we were waiting for our tour bus to pick us up.
Random shot taken when we were still on the bus.
15-20 minutes break time before setting off again.
Just took a picture of this entrance to a museum or maybe ruins. Didn't really care what's inside because this wasn't the main reason why we were there.
Fluffy dog spotted!
It must be freaking exhausted. Didn't even care to look up when we were approaching it.
My dad received this book from our local tour guide for answering correctly to her question! Yes! She's like a teacher to us. Haha!
And we reached our next destination, Cappadocia - "The Land of Beautiful Horses"!
Before checking into the hotel, our tour guide arrange this really very special and EXCLUSIVE trip just for us! Which is... Visiting a Cave house own by a family she knows.
Yes. They live in this cave house but they are not allowed to make any changes to the the cave as the government wants to protect the original structure of these caves.
If you think that it would be stuffy and hot living inside this cave, well... you're wrong! Amazingly, it felt like the cave had air-condition! Very cooling indeed~
Chilling in their guest room.
Owner's youngest son serving us drinks! Isn't he cute?!
Transformed the small holes of the caves into windows.
Doorway to their guest room.
Main door tall enough for dwarves?
Beautiful view from the cave house.
One last look before leaving for our hotel!
Fifth Hotel Check-in, Double Tree By Hilton Avanos.
Oh yeah~ Checked into this small yet comfy room!
Had to sleep really, really early for this night. Reason: Had to wake up at 4am for some activity that you can't and won't want to miss out. :)
