(Continuing from Day 3) For those who are reading my blog with an empty stomach, Good luck. :)
Dinner at Thon Krueng Restaurant
This was one of our favorite restaurant at Thailand. Remember, before boarding a cab, you have to ask the driver if they know how to go to this specific address, 239 soi Thonglor 13 Sukhumvit 55 Si Lom. Some of them might not know. Yeah, the location might be a little ulu but really, it's worth a try!

You gotta try their local dishes. It's fantastic!

A Must-order dish at Thon Krueng. It's fresh and the sauce, YUMZ.

Grilled clams. Another Must-order dish! Although you might need to wait a little while for them to grill.
Dessert place for the night, After You.
Located just a few feet from Thon Krueng. Lucky us~

Had to queue up for about 20 mins or more.

My brother taking a video of us, AGAIN.

Trying to "Smile with his eyes". You will know this phrase if you are a fan of American Next Top Model.
Okay... [Giving him the weird face]

Just look at my sista's huge eyes

Lovey Dovey

Finally, Hurry ORDER! Was craving for some sweet stuff.

Their best seller, Shibuya Honey Toast. Woah~ DARN AMAZING! The toast was so good with the ice-cream can.

Then, we made a last-minute decision to try their Chocolate Lava.

Look at the chocolate slowly flowing out! OHYEA~ the chocolate was still warm and when you eat it with the ice-cream, Heaven man...
Alright. Before going on to Day 4, some random shopping photos that my sis BF took.

Spread out and hunt for pretty clothes!
Day 4, lunching at Som Tam Nua

Another well-known restaurant at Siam Square Soi 5.

Look at all the newspaper cuttings

They serve local foodie. Therefore, I can't remember the names of the dishes.

Famous Thai style salad

Why are Thai people so skinny? Answer: Extremely small servings.

Fried chicken wings

Overall, I will give it a 3 and a 1/2 star out of 5 for the food. Didn't get the "Mmmmmm..." feel when eating. Like the chicken wings but not love them. Service wise, kinda slow. I would give it a miss for the next Bangkok trip.
Dessert for the day, Mango Tango.

Attention! To all Mango Lovers, you definitely wouldn't regret it.

A very small shop but please be patient.

Might have to share seats with strangers. Whatever! Just enjoy the desserts!

Yes. Let you guys see my muscular arms. -,-

Mango sago. Looks simple yet appetizing. Most importantly, their mangoes were really fresh and sweet.

And for this, we have a scoop of mango ice-cream topped with a slice of kiwi and surrounded by fresh sliced mangoes. *nom nom*

Ta-dah! Best Seller, Mango Sherbet Pudding! Freaking awesome!! Already craving for more mango desserts. Will certainly go back again.
Back to Terminal 21
The main purpose was for the boys to wrap-up their shopping spree. oh well, I get to shop as well.

If you guys have't read my previous post on Terminal 21, GET BACK to it. :)

Day 5, Returning back to Singapore

Thailand's International Airport

Last photo at Thailand. Time to bid goodbye to Bangkok. Sigh. I missed the cheap shopping deals and of course, the food! But I would like to try Korea, Dong Dae Mun. Anyway, this isn't the last interesting post.

[[SIGNING OFF]]
Hi Keewei, I'll be flying off to Bangkok with my sis in a few days. The items on our "must-buy" list are flats, accessories, sunglasses and bags. Are there unbranded stuff sold at MBK? Or are they mostly "branded"? We're trying to steer clear of fake goods cos it's kinda tacky heh.
ReplyDeleteHi debbie! Sorry for the really late reply. MBK shopping mall is well known for IT gadgets (especially phone accessories). It is not my favourite place to get clothes, flats etc... From what I know, MBK does sell "unbranded" clothes but if u want to get nice flats, i would still recommend platinum mall (the one which is beside novotel) and Terminal 21.
