Chronicles of Narnia at MBS

The initial plan was to 'explore' the world of Narnia at Marina Bay Sands.

The Narnia 'Land' was built on the Ice-skating rink. Singaporeans really do know how to make use of spaces. For example, the F1 night racing. Smart.

Just look at how excited my brother was! (The truth: He bought a Crumpler bag)

But to our disappointment, we heard that NO photography was allowed in the exhibition!!! YES!! It was a very, very MAJOR TURNOFF! Why set up grand statues and ice throne when visitors couldn't take a picture with it! Such a waste right?! For a moment, I thought I could be the "White Witch"...

Not that I'm evil but the throne really looked kinda cool what. Arghh!!

So, sadly, no walking into the Narnia's wardrobe for that night.

While strolling around MBS, we spotted pretty Christmas decoration along the Helix bridge! Luckily, there was still some stuff for us to take with.

Got the Postcard standard right?

Glowing dreamy-like reindeers.

Mission accomplished. Manage to take some nice photos and ate my favorite Ma Maison's fruit tart!

Satisfied! :) (P.S. Photos not clear enough for you? Or you just want to see my "Chio" face? Click on the photos!)

Christmas Eve & Mummy's Birthday Dinner

( A SHOUTOUT to everybody, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! [Singing to Britney's My Only Wish] )

If you haven't notice, today's post images are way more prettier! That's because it was taken using DSLR and also, I've finally re-size my images! Yes. Just realize that the photos uploaded in the past are somewhat, pathetic. Too small. But apparently to Blogger, they were all considered as size "L". Okay. Never mind about that. The important thing is that my blog looks awesome now!

Mummy's Birthday Celebration Dinner at Chin Lee Restaurant

Kinda Famous Teochew Restaurant at Bedok.

Up first, the cold dishes. My favorite was the prawn salad (Prawns with Mayonnaise)! Is that how you call it?

This fish was gooooodddd... Even the soup was nice.

The chicken skin was super crispy. Could hear the *CRUNCH* when I pressed the skin with my chopsticks lah.

Main ingredient in this dish, SCALLOP!

Huge Juicy Prawns.

Background a little china-ish?

My Happy-Go-Lucky Mum!

Happy Family <3

Decided to grab some ice-cream even though we were all extremely full. And so, we arrived at...

Swensens at Terminal 2

A Present from my sister and her Bf.

The Banana Crumble

Lucky girl recieved a free ice-cream treat from a really friendly waitress! It's called the "Firehouse Happy Birthday". (P.S. ISN'T MY MUM CUTE?!)

She's suppose to face the camera but instead...

Make a wish~

Took some random photos with the Christmas decorations at Changi. Their theme was Angry bird... Ohgosh.

Enough of all the feast! Shall 'walk it off' tomorrow when I'm SHOPPING!! YAY!!! Gonna buy some Christmas present for myself! :)

20th World Orchid Conference

Going to a flower exhibition for the very first time! At first, I was like "sucha auntie activity"(which is kinda true what)! But when I was there to see it for myself, it's a different story. [pause] OKAY OKAY. Just wanted to make it sound nicer. The truth? Of course is to take pretty photos! Don't really know how to appreciate plants. However, I was taken aback by the Gardens by the bay.

You must be a good photographer to take a pretty photo of these 3 massive structures. *Erhem* Just like me! :)

Visited the Gardens of the Bay first instead of the Orchid Conference. Hahaha!!! The conference was suppose to be the MAIN event!

This will not be the only plant you will be looking at~ There's more behind! HAHA! ENJOY~

Looks like a dragonfly resting on a chopped-off tree

Reminds me of earthworms but the worse part of this plant is that the heads are FURRY. Yikes!

And these are the babies of the 'earthworms' plant

Pretty night scenery taken from the inside of the Greenhouse

Mum: "Take a photo of the tree's eye!" She meant this... [faints]

If there wasn't any spotlight or lights, I bet this tree would look terribly CREEPY.

Done exploring "Gardens by the bay". Now, for the Marina Bay Sands Orchid Exhibition!

This was the flower representing...

Sir Elton John!

Next representative was for...

Princess Diana!

Different country's orchid display filled the entire exhibition hall.

"This one ah! Confirm is from China!" And, You're Wrong! Initially, we thought it was too. With all the fans, horse and chinese words. It was from Japan~ Surprise!

Wss the blue thang a part of the design?!

The designs are getting weirder each year. Ha!!

Ah ha! This was then designed by China!

Okay. Bad move to put mannequins in there!!!

I pick YOU! Because there's waterfall~ :)

Enough of flowers! Never seen so many different kinds of bright-colored flowers before. But to tell you guys the truth, most of them looked the same to me!

Time for some random shots. :)

This sums up everything about the conference! Overall, this year's Orchid conference doesn't have the 'WOW' factor. Kinda disappointed but luckily, we had the exclusive look at the Gardens of the Bay! A PLUS POINT! Alright. Hope you guys didn't fall asleep because of the excessive amount of 'flower power'. :) P.S Camera used: Panasonic Lumix
